Cake is a yummy creation that people all around the world love to eat. It started a long time ago around 5,000 years back in ancient Egypt, but it was more or less like bread, sweetened with honey, and a little dry compared to the cakes we know today. The ancient Greeks and Romans improved it by using goat cheese and fruits thus making it a hit in their dinner parties.

The name ‘cake’ comes from the Old Norse word ‘kaka’, which means a baked flour confection. Today, cakes are baked all over the world and are a necessary part of nearly all celebrations.
